About Dr. Bahar Movahed

Dr. Bahar Movahed is a board certified orthodontist. She went to dental school in her home country of Iran. In 2010, she immigrated to the United States to continue her education and pursue a new direction in her professional life. Dr. Bahar completed an advanced implantology preceptorship program at UCLA. She studied dentistry at her dream school, UCSF, followed by earning her certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in kinesiology at Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. She obtained eight years of general dentistry experience, two of which were spent in public health care services. That experience taught her much about public health, managing and communicating with patients and working under strict conditions. Over the past 15 years, she has provided excellent care for hundreds of patients in multiple settings. Dr. Bahar is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics and American Board of Orthodontics.

Alongside her education and work experience as a dentist and orthodontist, she has been following two different fields of art, music, and caricature, professionally. She has received international awards for her caricatures, and as a musician, she has had multiple performances of traditional Persian music across the US.

Throughout her journey, she has continuously strived to learn and gain more experience. She has consistently hoped to reach a level of excellence in all her endeavors so that she could contribute to the community to the best of her abilities as an orthodontist, as an artist, and more importantly, as a human.
